Proven in the Pasture.

Raised with Purpose. Bred for Performance.

Lazy Spade Ranch is a family-owned and operated cattle ranch in Northern California. Our cattle spend the summer months grazing the high desert rangelands of Modoc County and winter on the open ranges of Tehama County.

We take great pride in our cattle genetics, utilizing predominantly Gardner Angus bulls to produce exceptional quality, performance, and consistency. Our calves consistently grade approximately 60% USDA Prime, with the remaining 40% grading Upper Choice. Our cattle also demonstrate outstanding yields and herd health, ranking among the best in their class.

Our calves are weaned and developed on high-quality hay and silage grown on our own Modoc County ranches before being finished in the feedlot. Raised in the rugged high desert, our cattle are hardy, healthy, and bred for exceptional performance.

At Lazy Spade Ranch, our focus is simple: exceptional genetics, responsible ranching practices, and producing premium-quality Angus cattle from pasture to market
